I have read all of Miranda Dickinson’s books and was so excited to receive a review copy of her latest novel I’ll Take New York.
Bea James owns a bookshop in Brooklyn and after being stood up numerous times by her boyfriend, she decides to give up on relationships and stay single. Jake Steinman returns to New York from San Francisco after the sudden breakdown of his marriage and vows not to let himself get hurt again. When the two meet at a party, there are sparks but they are determined not to enter a relationship with anyone. Or so they think…
This is a fantastic warm and compelling read that I couldn’t put down. I absolutely loved the setting and Bea’s bookshop, Dickinson really brings New York to life for the reader. It was great to see some of the characters from Dickinson’s debut novel Fairytale of New York in this book.
I can’t finish this review without saying how gorgeous the cover is!
Thank you to Avon for sending us a copy to review.
