We love the Animal Stories from Holly Webb and were thrilled to be asked to take part in the 30 days of Holly Webb tour to celebrate Holly’s 30th book in this series.
In The Secret Kitten, Lucy and her brother have moved to live with their Granny. Lucy finds the move daunting, especially when she has to go to a new school. She longs to have a cat of her own, but her Gran doesn’t like pets so she doesn’t think it will be possible.
One day, Lucy and William spot some stray kittens near to their house and fall in love with a tiny black and white one. When the kitten appears in their back garden, Lucy calls her Catkin and they decide to try and keep her and keep her a secret from Gran. Their own secret kitten, but how long can she really stay secret before someone finds out?
This is a lovely story that is perfect for animal lovers. We loved the sparkly cover as well.
